This is a few of the local playschemes and childcare options we
have tried, but these are only our personal opinions!

National Childminding Association (NCMA)
The NCMA can provide Professional Registered Network Childminders who
provide a high standard of childcare for children aged between 0-14yrs.
Several are experienced in working with Special Needs children.

KIDS Rushmoor playscheme for special needs
Holiday playscheme for children aged 5-14 with special needs and their
siblings! It's organised in partnership with KIDS and Rushmoor Borough
Council. It will be at Henry Tyndale School, Farnborough. Dates and
session costs are still to be confirmed. For more details contact KIDS on

Disability Challengers
Challengers have bases in Guildford and Farnham. The scheme is open to all
children with special needs, no matter which area they live in. They organise
playschemes and also Saturday clubs. Suitable for children aged 4-12 and
13-25. 1-2-1 support is available if your child needs it.

Mencap Holiday Scheme
Summer schemes for children/young people with a learning disability aged
5-10 and 11-18. They organise activities and trips. Referral is via a Children’s
Services social worker.

Children's Information Service
Provides confidential and impartial information to parents and carers, on
childcare and related services in Hampshire.Tel: 0845 602 1125, see the

*** Depending on your child's needs, you may want to approach a
mainstream playscheme and see if they can accommodate your child. There
is a possibility that Rushmoor Borough Council (and their new "Get Together"
status) could provide a trained volunteer to help your child, if needed, but
this is a new idea and there aren't many volunteers yet.

Nicks Baby Sitting Service
Nick provides evening childcare at your family home.
Daytime care provided at weekends and in school holidays.
Experience of caring for children with autism. Qualified nanny - Enhanced CRB

2008 playscheme dates:
Easter: 7th - 18th April
Whitsun: 27th - 30th May
Summer: 28th July - 29th August (excluding 25th August)
Autumn: 27th - 31st October
Christmas: 22nd 23rd, 29th & 30th December & Friday 2nd January.

Most playschemes run during the Summer holidays. Only a few run for

Centre on 01252 873454 or click here. Suitable for 5-11 yr olds (though
4yr olds in full time education are eligable for limited number of places.)

Farnborough Early Years Centre
Run playschemes during various holidays throughout the year for children
aged 3-10yrs. Although this is a mainstream playscheme, they are
inclusive and will try to accommodate children's individual needs. Children
do need to be out of nappies though. Contact Chris Frankland on 01252

Soccer Coaching Limited - SCL
SCL run "Soccer Camps” and “Club Energy” for 4 - 12 year olds during the
holidays delivered within a safe and supervised environment. Local courses
are in Fleet and Frimley, but there are more locations in Surrey. Check out

discuss your child's individual needs before booking any dates.

KOOSA Kids
Holiday club (as well as after school care) for 4-12 year olds at Court Moor
School in Fleet. They run a standard activity day, 10-4pm and also an
