HCFF has local branches and provides a means for parents to find out more about the services that are available, and gives them a chance to say what services are needed.

Helping Hands support group Helping hands is a support group for parents/carers of children who are on the Autistic Spectrum. They meet at Maple Ridge School, Oakridge on the first Wednesday of every month (excluding holidays) between 13.15 - 14.45. For more information contact Paula Fretwell by e-mail or on 07837481749.

Home-Start Home-Start support any family who needs them, as long as they have at least one child under five. Their support is free, confidential and non-judgemental. After asking for our support you will meet with one of their local organisers who will carefully match you with one of their volunteers. Their volunteers, who all have parenting experience, will visit you for a couple of hours a week and give both emotional and practical help. Contact a Family Contact a Family is the only UK-wide charity providing advice, information and support to the parents of all disabled children - no matter what their disability or health condition. We also enable parents to get in contact with other families, both on a local and national basis. Helpline 0808 808 3555 (10am - 4pm Monday -Friday) www.cafamily.org.uk or e-mail them.

Parent Action Group for Special Play (P.A.G) P.A.G for Special Play are a Community Action Group who are registered with Rushmoor Voluntary Services. As an independent Group they are able to apply for funding that has been set up specifically to serve local communities. Their aim is to use the funding to enable the Special Needs and Siblings Summer Scheme to continue running. They also want to develop opportunities, including play provision for children with disabilities over the age of 12. Coffee, chill and chat A Parent and Toddler group for families with special needs children.  It is held term-time only on Tuesdays and Fridays, 9.45 - 12.30 at Union-Building, Hospital Hill, Aldershot.  For more information contact Trish/Bev on 01252 343753 or 327752.  The group is FREE and is open to all age ranges.

Portage coffee mornings Held in the Portage office, at St Peter's Junior school, Stilwell Close, Yateley, every Friday morning from 10.15 - 11.45am. Merry - Go - Round toy and leisure library Providing special toys and learning aids for young people who need them. Open 10am - 12 noon on Mondays and Saturday's by appointment. £3 annual membership fee and 50p - £2 per toy borrowed.
